“She was, i mean working with her is great. The three seasons that we worked together we never had an argument. I mean that’s pretty odd, um- since we were in such close quarters, both of our characters, but you know she’s here.. in my heart and that’s the best thing about it. And she’s actually given me the opportunity to be here where i am today. I mean her character, her show, enabled me to grow and become another character so i owe a lot to her.”

Stefan gave her a white rose, which means a remembrance in the past, purity, innocence of their relationship. It was like the very first time he ever gave her a gift, the book, something small but meant so much to her because she wanted to read that book but couldn’t find a copy of it anywhere. During this time they were both so nervous and smiling. And as you see in the other two gifts he gives her, the necklace and the bouquet of flowers, it’s something a bit bigger than the book. But then as we see in the last gift he gave her so far, the small little white rose, it was just like the beginning again, a small gift and they were both nervous and smiling just like the very first time he ever gave her a gift, the book. It’s them looking at new beginnings and falling in love with each other all over again.
